Matt has coached for the past 18 years and currently coaches middle school basketball in Sandy and baseball at Gresham High School. Matt married the love of his life, Caroleana in 2007 and they have 2 kids, Sam and Amelia. He has a passion to serve Christ by pouring into coaches and student leaders!

Growing up in Northeast Portland, basketball was more than a game, it was life. Basketball was why Dyon got up in the morning, it was his ticket to a better life. Basketball was Dyon’s connection to his friends, the music he listened to, the way he dressed; and sports were what kept his family connected as well. When Dyon found his faith in Christ, it gave him a deeper sense of purpose—more than basketball ever could. As a follower of Jesus, Dyon wants to use sports to share Jesus' love with coaches and athletes. Joining FCA means being part of a community that values the same things he values: Jesus, faith and love for his community. Through partnering with FCA, Dyon believes the Lord will impact athletes and coaches through the opportunity to encourage them to grow in their faith and live boldly for Jesus!
